Title Nine: Owners, Risk-takers, Leaders

Title Nine: Owners, Risk-takers, Leaders

Women-Led Wednesday is an annual event (but more like a reminder) to shop, support, and uplift women-owned and women-run brands. It’s a day rooted in a long fight for equality, and an underlying mission that we support year round. This Women-Led Wednesday, we’re choosing to support a few women-led companies in particular that complement our mission and inspire us to continue our fight for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Title Nine is a company built by and for women, rooted in the decades-old mission to eliminate gender-based discrimination in all facets of society. Like us, they noticed that women’s athletic apparel was made with men in mind, and chose to take charge on this issue and ultimately put their efforts toward women in need. We admire their sustainable practices, mission-driven business model, and above all, the wonderful women whose leadership allows their company to thrive.

The inspiring leaders of Title Nine have taken back the idea of “difficult” women. Instead, they highlight these women for who they are: community leaders, tough decision makers, and innovative trailblazers. Through their annual program, “Movers and Makers Pitchfest,” Title Nine is able to elevate prominent female entrepreneurs by giving these women the space to share their ideas. Through a day-long event, movers and makers from all over gather to pitch their ideas, share their stories and empower each other to challenge expectations.

Check out the winners of the 2019 T9 Movers and Makers Pitchfest to learn more about this awesome event.

Authenticity is a quality we admire in others, and a quality we aspire for ourselves. Northern California born and bred, Title Nine has intentionally remained a small company since 1989, as well as an ally in sustainability and female empowerment. Keep on owning, risking, and leading, and the world will follow suit!
